Summer at Springhill Cellars

Visitors to Springhill Cellars often sit outside to enjoy a glass of wine and food at our tables, which overlook views repeatedly painted and sketched by local landscape artists.

The tasting room is open Friday through Sunday from 11:30 – 5:30 pm from the first weekend in May through Thanksgiving weekend. We are also available for tasting by appointment.

Fall at Springhill Cellars

Our Federweisser Festival is one of Albany’s most anticipated parties with great wine, food and good friends

Our Federweisser Festival is the annual shindig we launched in 1990. This harvest festival is German** in origin and pairs new, still fermenting Riesling (the Federweisser) with specially made bratwürst and Zwiebelkuchen, a sweet onion tart. The oom-pah-pah music drifts through the air during the day for a nearly normal German flavor, and at night, a floor-stomping barn dance with a live rock-n-roll band.

The Federweisser Festival is held Friday Sunday after Thanksgiving. The night of the barn dance is determined by which night the Oregon vs Oregon State Civil War game is played: If the game is played on Saturday, the dance is held Friday and vice-versa.

Our “house band” is Shatterproof; they rock the rafters every year.  The crowd and the music spill across the yard to the big fire pit, keeping the fall cold at bay. This is a great way to bring the summer to an official close and ease into the Christmas season.

Don’t miss it!

** No, we’re not German. But that’s a longer story . . .
